Academic employment

I am an Assistant Professor in Hospitality and Tourism Management in the School of Business at the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC, USA). I also serve as the Director of the Department's Office of Tourism Analysis.

Previously, I worked as an Assistant Professor in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Ryerson University (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).


Other professional activities

I have worked as a consultant on numerous tourism research projects, and have consulted with various government agencies on Airbnb regulatory issues.

I also am a member of the Editorial Board of Tourism Recreation Research.

In between my Master's and Ph.D. degrees, I worked as the Tourism Business Analyst with the Toronto Convention and Visitors Association (Tourism Toronto).

Prior to my graduate studies, I worked in internet marketing as the Web Editor and Search Engine Optimization Manager for International Living in Panama City, Panama.
